This mini series is a beautiful adaptation of the life of Chile's first saint. It is made with much heart and is faithful to the message of the joy that one finds in loving and serving God in all circumstances. The series starts off slowly but builds in anticipation of Teresa's vocation by episode three. It is well worth the perseverance in watching all the episodes to see how this young saint rose to great heights of holiness and simplicity in the Carmelite order at just 19 years.
The ending of this series is one of the most profoundly moving of any I have ever seen. Overall it is an inspiring story of the loving relationship we can all have with God if we are truly humble and simple. Saint Teresa of the Andes has now become one of my favourite saints and I highly recommend her diary (Teresa of the Andes: God the joy of my life) as additional spiritual reading to accompany this dvd.
